Board of Advisors

Brooke Patterson, PharmD

Brooke Patterson is a founding donor and board member of the Patterson‑McCallum‑Mareta Charitable Pharmacy. She is a healthcare professional with extensive experience in oncology and hematology drug development, currently serving in a senior leadership role focused on advancing new therapies for patients with serious diseases. Brooke is committed to improving access to essential medications and supporting sustainable, community‑based solutions that reduce barriers to care.

Angela Burgess

Angela Burgess works with nonprofits that want greater visibility, more consistent funding, and leadership teams that can speak with one, clear, compelling voice.  She’s spent over 15 years in the nonprofit sector doing just that.  As President & CEO of Broad Oaks Consulting, LLC, she’s helped teams raise more than $110 million for their missions. 

While she dedicated the first decade of her career to wealth management, she chose to redirect her expertise toward work that strengthens communities and advances meaningful change.  Angela is an accomplished professional speaker and the best-selling author of “Are You on the Right Bus? Navigating Change on the Road to Success.” 

Jake Galdo, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, BCGP

Jake Galdo is CEO of Seguridad. Seguridad develops and implements quality measures in the Choose My Pharmacy measurement system. As the national standard for community pharmacy quality, Choose My Pharmacy is used for quality improvement, value-based contracts, and patient engagement. 

Additionally, Dr. Galdo is the Managing Network Facilitator for CPESN® Community Health, a clinically integrated network of community pharmacies focused on addressing health-related disparities. As the network lead, he consults on the delivery health equity services, practice transformation to local communities, and advancement of community pharmacies, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians.

Sarah Noel

Sarah Noel serves as the Executive Director of US Diabetes Patient Advocacy and Professional Relations for Eli Lilly and Company. In this role she leads Lilly’s diabetes advocacy efforts, including managing Lilly’s corporate relationships with patient advocacy and professional medical associations.
Prior to joining Lilly, Sarah spent nearly two decades at JDRF International where she served in a variety of roles, including her last role as Vice President, Community Engagement and Strategic Alliances.
Sarah, her husband Ryan, and children Simeon and Juliet, enjoy the diversity, culture and community that an urban lifestyle offers near downtown Indianapolis. She enjoys all forms of exercise, reading and experiencing new places and cultures through travel.

Sarah Estell

Sarah Estell joined Gleaners in August 2016, launching a robust, multi-channel marketing and communications program to support both the advancement team and the organization as a whole. In October 2022, her role expanded to Chief Communications and Advocacy Officer, adding community collaborations, neighbor engagement, outreach efforts, and advocacy to her portfolio.
Currently, Sarah serves as Chief Outreach Officer, overseeing marketing and communications, volunteer engagement, advocacy, neighbor engagement, and community outreach. She also led the development of multiple collaborative partnerships and strategies that culminated in the creation of the Tom and Julie Wood Family Resource Center, which opened in May 2025.
Prior to joining Gleaners, Sarah spent more than 20 years in healthcare marketing with hospitals and health systems in Wisconsin and Indiana. This experience helped shape her leadership of Gleaners’ hunger-and-health initiatives, including food-as-medicine programs and the annual IBJ Power Breakfast, now in its ninth year.
Sarah is a graduate of the University of Evansville, a proud mother to Shea Estell, and lives with her husband, Greg, in Fishers, Indiana.

Ashley H. Meredith, PharmD, MPH, BCACP, BCPS, CDCES, FCCP

Dr. Ashley Meredith is a Clinical Professor in the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University. She received her PharmD from the University of Pittsburgh, Master of Public Health from Purdue Global, and two years of postgraduate training with the Veterans Administration. Dr. Meredith serves as the Assistant Director of Engagement for the Center for Health Excellence, Quality and Innovation (CHEQI) at Purdue University and as the Director of Pharmacy at the Purdue Patterson-McCallum-Mareta Charitable Pharmacy (PMMCP). Dr. Meredith’s research focuses on evaluation of pharmacist services and evaluation of the role and impact of community health workers.

Jasmine D. Gonzalvo, PharmD, MPH, CDCES, FADCES

Dr. Jasmine D. Gonzalvo, PharmD, MPH is the Chris and Theresa Dimos Director of the Center for Health Excellence, Quality, and Innovation and a Clinical Professor in the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University. She graduated with her Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in May 2025. She is the Executive Director of the Patterson-McCallum-Mareta Charitable Pharmacy onsite at Gleaners Food Bank. She provides cardiovascular risk reduction medication management services for Eskenazi Health Pecar Health Center for a largely Spanish-speaking population in a Federally Qualified Health Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has served on and chaired national Boards for diabetes organizations. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Diabetes Leadership Council and is the President of the Indiana Community Health Workers Association. She is active in advocacy efforts at the State and Federal levels, most recently having served on the National Clinical Care Commission charged with making recommendations to improve diabetes across federal programs. She has received a variety of awards highlighting her excellence in practice and teaching throughout her career.
